STRATEGY AND RULES OF VPS
GENERAL:-
1. The service of VPS is fully managed at all times. The support group is responsible for all the VPS connection and this is neatly checked. Else the separate processes running on the VPS are not the support team s responsibility. The support group is only responsible for control panels which offered by software supported team. This is done only when we are informed i.e. on a reactive basis, not on a proactive basis.
2. The hostyourspace.co.uk also recommends Virtuozzo, which comes with Virtuozzo Power Panel. And it a permits the customer to manage their VPS & also perform administrative tasks, such as formatting, process management, resource management rebooting the VPS, back-up, repairing, & many more.
3 .All the accounts of VPS may go through a fake process of confirmation. Our team set up the VPS service in about two to three hours from the time of the account being confirmed as genuine. The setup process includes computerization and also the manual work. This is completed in order to guarantee that every VPS is setup just as per the consumers order without any errors.
4. Although the customers can have an option of signing up for a simple VPS with no control panel, we generally recommend a control panel to controls and operate the VPS. All customers having a plain VPS would have to arrange the accounts of user, DNS, mail accounts and many activities that related to the design of such VPS themselves. The support group will not be responsible for this.
5. Relocation of data is done from the old VPS with to the new VPS. Only if the previous VPS has Plesk and CPanel as control panel on it. For all the VPS, without a control panel, the support team will only transfer the files of website. User has to transfer all the other emails databases and any other data.
6. Allocation of IPs Who is not available with the small blocks of three or four IP s. A consumer, if he so wishes would have to purchase a full /24 subnet after which IP allocation can be done.
7. All other applications and software (which are not provided by hostyourspace.co.uk), are the responsibility of customer s. The VPS group would only help in the installation of such types of applications, software and programs. Configuring them is the customer s responsibility. The support team would also not be responsible for any issues or damages which might happen on account of using that programs. The support group will try to recover & resolve issues related to such application, but are not responsible for exact resolutions of such issues. When team is not busy with any issue related to support then wills only install third party applications. Such third party applications are given a lower preference.
8. If a customer wants to move from a Linux VPS to windows VPS, we help you to move only website files. Customer has to move all other data and files by their self.
100% Uptime Guarantee In Cloud VPS:-
Following are the exceptions against the 100% uptime guarantee on Cloud VPS:-
1.If visitors OS again restarts VM services as spamd, httpd, cPanel, mysql, exim, named then this is because use of high resource . Control panel updates or any other visitor OS issues are also not involved in our 100% uptime assurance.
2. If you’re VM go tough resource limit and faces any presentation issues, or your VM start again because of not enough resources.
3. If your VM starts repeatedly because of installation or use of other application. . At the time of uploading data on Windows VM, if any virus is uploaded and then causes issues on your VM.
We can give VMware logs and your VM resource usage graphs which will give detail of your resources usage and VM position. We always welcome you to organize internal VM services or control panel, on our uptime assurance you cannot blame.
SUPPORT:-
1. 24x7 technical supports is providing through trouble tickets, telephone, live-chat. Only basic issues can be solved over the phone.
2. For issues which have to be forwarded to cPanel or any provider of the software and applications which hostyourspace.co.uk provides, the time taken to resolve such issue cannot be estimated. It completely depends on the severity of the issue. Customers will be updated on these issues.
3. For customers any issue there is live support is available. If it is essential as part of verification, the group of VPS can be request an email sent.
4. In an hour all the trouble tickets raised and emails sent will be responded. If there is a need for further inquiry, the customer will be reported accordingly.
5. The customers can express their views in community forum of hostyourspace.co.uk. For attending your problems you will have to raise tickets or approach live support for the technical staff. For easier conversation, sharing of ideas and views we regards the forum. It is not designed to be a support board.
USAGE:-
1. Linux VPS has two types of memory.
2. A Windows VPS can obtain:-
1. Guaranteed RAM
2. Equal Share of CPU.
CPU Sharing: - The VPS obtained for sharing any existing CPU above their allocated CPU resources. Then the share depends on the plan you have. A W-VPS-03 will always get a better share than a W- VPS-01.
Guaranteed RAM – It is the sum of memory that is assign for your server. This is dedicated for your server and will be available at all times.
3. The VPS is an artificial partition made on a big hardware node, so the VPS is a virtual partition. That means it includes the physical accessories like video cards, speakers, sound cards, monitors etc cannot be attached to it.
4. Hostyourspace.co.uk always suggests that these applications should not be used together with other programs as the VPS will run out of resources. Normally speaking any CPU intensive application is not match for a VPS.
5. Hostyourspace.co.uk provides VPS, virtual private server is the best option in the comparison of dedicated server;. For use in streaming and game server the virtual private server is not considered. In this advanced server plans & applications which include Java and other such heavy applications are best used.
6. If the consumers think that there is a need to have many resources on their VPS in terms of disk-space or RAM, they will have to improve to the next highest plan. We don’t enlarging these limits as it disturbs the balance and the design of the hardware node. The only resource which can be increased or decreased is Bandwidth.
7. The clients can send a maximum of 500 emails each hour. The user can divide the list of mails if the mailing lists is larger than 500.
8. The support team of hostyourspace.co.uk will not be responsible for damages or issues arises from the following such activities upgrading kernel, OS, running windows updates and external software like firewalls and anti-virus. Service Pack 2 cannot be recently installed on a Windows VPS.
9. Backups are the major responsibility of the customer. Weekly backup is taken by the VPS support group. The backup is of the entire node but the integrity of the backup cannot be monitored until restoration. This is only used in case something not happen perfectly on our end with a server node. We can’t separately restore a VPS from this backup. These backups will not involve any media file which can be stored on the virtual machine; flash files would be the only such data which would be included in the backups. Backing up media files would not be Hostyourspace.co.uk s responsibility.
10. If an exact VPS is found to be consistently using the burstable RAM available or exceeding the resource limits, it could be suspended. The support team of Hostyourspace.co.uk will send an email to the concerned user in this case.
